The Executive Director functions as the Chief Executive Officer of the
American Public Human Services Association and as such has primary
responsibility for:
- Preparing and implementing the organizational goals and objectives as
approved by the APHSA Board of Directors;
- Overseeing all member services;
- Directing the staff of the association and supervising the Executive Staff;
- Administering the association's annual budget and managing and safeguarding
reserves, retirement fund and other holdings and investments with the oversight
and approval of the Board; and
- Promoting the APHSA mission and message at the national level.
